The person in your corner - before you knew you needed one.
Hey, I'm Sadie Finch, founder of More Than Admin, based near Ely in Cambridgeshire.
I have more than twenty-five years of experience across admin, operations and client support. I started out as a PA - fifteen years of learning how to get things done, how to support someone well, and how to make sense of chaos. Ten years ago, I took all of that and built More Than Admin.
But somewhere along the way, probably around the time a client told me I'd been with them nine years, or when another said I was integral to her business and she couldn't be without me, I realised what I was actually doing went well beyond the job description.
I help small business owners carry less. Not by taking over, but by being the person who holds the context, notices what's slipping, and makes sure the details are handled so your headspace is free for the work only you can do.
What I do is genuinely hard to put in a job title.
I'm not just here for tasks. I'm here for the thinking behind the tasks… the things that don't make it onto a to-do list but quietly drain your energy if left to you alone. With 25 years of experience across admin, operations and client support, here's what working with me actually looks like.
HONESTY AND COLLABORATION
Perspective, encouragement, and a gentle push back when you need it.
CLARITY WHERE THINGS FEEL CHAOTIC
Your operations organised so you're not holding everything in your head.
ANTICIPATING WHAT’S COMING
I get to know how you work, so I'm acting on things before you've had to ask.
MORE SPACE FOR THE WORK YOU LOVE
Whether that's growth, creativity, or simply finishing at a reasonable hour
A SMOOTHER EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CLIENTS
The details that build trust, handled quietly in the background.
Sadie's a real partner and I couldn't be without her.
Sadie's really good at jumping into my head, pulling it out, and making it reality.
She's an integral part of my business and has always helped me leap ahead.
KIRSTEN SMITH
Working with Sadie has been such a game changer.
It's helped my creativity massively. I can’t imagine what I would do without her.
I've got so much more breathing space and feel so much more relaxed now.
JENNIFER CHONG
Sadie’s been with me nine years, and that probably says it all.
Sadie is my right-hand woman who looks after the business, kicks me up the butt, and makes sure things run smoothly .
If you’ve given Sadie something to do, it will happen.
RACHAEL SAVAGE
Ten years ago, a late-night search changed everything.
Two babies under two. A career that no longer fit the life I wanted. The itch to use my brain and do something that was mine.
I searched “work from home jobs” one night and found a world I hadn’t known existed. I didn’t have a grand plan. I just knew I wanted to support good people and build something that didn’t burn me out. So I asked for a business course for my birthday, took 15 years of PA experience, and started with one client.
One became two. Two became fifty.
I never expected to end up here. But ten years later, I’m doing the work I was always built for and the clients who’ve been with me longest tend to describe it the same way: not as admin support, but as having someone genuinely in their corner.
A peek behind the curtain of my life
If you want to know a little bit more about me, here goes.
I’M A SELF CONFESSED INTROVERT - AND IT MAKES ME BETTER AT WHAT I DO.
I observe more. I listen properly. I notice the things that get talked over. I regularly push myself out of my comfort zone regardless.
I HAVE QUESTIONABLE TASTE IN TV.
I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Feel-good films, a bit of trashy reality… if it's easy watching, I'm probably in.
I’M HERE FOR THE WHOLESOME ORDINARY STUFF.
Walks on the beach with the dog, hanging out with my family, pub lunches. Making memories and spending quality time with my people brings me more joy than anything else.
My values - in life and business
TRUST
The work only works when trust is genuinely present and I don't take that lightly.
My clients hand me the keys to their business. Their inbox, their finances, their client relationships, their half-formed ideas.
That level of access requires a foundation of real trust, built over time and earned through consistency. When it's there, that's where everything good happens.
HONESTY
I'll tell you what I think even when it's not what you were hoping to hear.
Not harshly, but honestly.
If something isn't working, I'll say so.
If I think there's a better way, I'll say that too.
The founders I work best with want a thinking partner who'll push back when it's needed, not one who just nods along.
CONTINUITY
I build relationships that last. Some of my clients have been with me for years across business changes, rebrands, pivots, and hard seasons.
That's not an accident. It's because I genuinely invest in understanding how someone's business works, what matters to them, and how that evolves over time.
The longer we work together, the more valuable the support becomes.
INITIATIVE
I don't wait to be asked. If I spot something that needs fixing, I fix it. If I notice a gap before it becomes a problem, I say so.
The quoting tool that didn't exist yet. The process that was one person leaving away from breaking. The thing that had been quietly causing friction for months.
Acting on what I notice, before you've had to articulate it, is one of the most valuable things I bring.
MUTUAL RESPECT
This is a two-way relationship.
I'm here to support your business, but the best working relationships feel genuinely collaborative, where both people are invested in each other's success.
I'm not just a pair of hands.
I'm someone who cares about the outcome, and I work best with founders who value that.
CARE
Whatever I take on, I do it properly. Not because I'm told to, but because it matters to me that the work is right.
The quoting tool that saves a client hours every week. The staff training framework that means nobody is left guessing. The detail that gets caught before it becomes a problem.
That care is consistent whether it's a small task or a large project.
If any of this sounds familiar, let’s talk.
It all starts with a friendly, no-pressure conversation.
