Mental Health Awareness Week: A Quiet Nudge to Be Kinder to Ourselves
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and if you’re anything like me, it might bring up a bit of a mixed bag.
Because yes – talking about mental health is important. But sometimes, it can feel like one more thing we’re supposed to have figured out.
So, I want to share something a little more personal.
I’ve had my own run-ins with burnout, anxiety, and depression. The kind where even answering a simple email feels like a mountain. The kind where your brain convinces you you’re “lazy” or “failing” when really, you’re just… utterly depleted. I still take medication to help, and I’m endlessly grateful for it.
I say this not for sympathy – but because I think it matters to say out loud: you’re not weak for struggling. You’re human. And if you’re quietly juggling your business, your family, your mental load – and still showing up? I see you. You’re doing so much more than you give yourself credit for.
If you’re in a season that feels heavy right now, here’s your gentle reminder:
You don’t have to do it all.
It’s OK to ask for help.
Rest isn’t a reward – it’s essential.
You’re allowed to build your business in a way that works for you – even if that means working slower, saying no more often, or pausing things altogether.
Behind the scenes, I work with clients who look polished and professional on the outside – but behind the curtain, they’re exhausted. That’s where I come in. Not just to tick tasks off a list, but to create a little breathing room. A little calm. A little clarity.
If you’ve been feeling stretched too thin lately, this is your permission slip to step back, reach out, or just take a blooming nap. Honestly, sometimes that’s the most productive thing you can do.
You’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re not behind.
You’re doing your best – and that’s enough.
