Privacy & Data Protection

What information is collected?

When you visit this site, it automatically picks up some basic, anonymous information - things like your browser type, language settings, and when you visited. This just helps me understand how the site is being used so I can keep improving it.

If you fill in a form, leave a comment, or sign up for something, I may also collect your name and email address. I'll only ever use those to communicate with you in the way you'd expect - no surprises, no spam.

Why I'm allowed to use it (lawful basis)

Under UK GDPR, I need a legal reason to process your data. Depending on the situation, that's one of:

  • Contract - if we're working together or you've requested a service

  • Legitimate interests - for general website analytics and improving the site

  • Consent - if you've signed up to hear from me

How it's used

Your information is used only to provide what you've asked for, or to stay in touch in ways you've agreed to. I won't sell your data or pass it on to anyone else, except where it's genuinely necessary to run the site or required by law.

If you've signed up to hear from me, I may send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time - no hard feelings.

How long I keep it

I only hold your data for as long as it's actually needed:

  • Enquiries and contact form submissions - 6 months, then deleted

  • Client records - up to 6 years, in line with UK legal and tax requirements

  • Website analytics - anonymised and not linked to you personally

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you

  • Correct anything that's inaccurate

  • Request deletion of your data (where applicable)

  • Restrict or object to how I use it

  • Portability - receive your data in a readable, usable format

To exercise any of these rights, just email hello@morethanadmin.com. I'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how I've handled your data, you have the right to raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) - the UK's data protection regulator.

More Than Admin holds professional indemnity insurance underwritten by Hiscox Insurance Company Limited, arranged through PolicyBee, providing cover of up to £1,000,000 per claim with no excess.

This means that in the unlikely event something goes wrong in the course of our work together, you're protected - and so am I.

Security

I take reasonable steps to keep any personal information you share secure. That said, no method of storing or transmitting data online is completely foolproof, and I can't promise absolute security - but I do take it seriously
